Penn College to Host Employment Session for Wounded Veterans

Officials from the Naval Supply Systems Command Wounded Warrior Program will visit Pennsylvania College of Technology in early April to discuss job opportunities for veterans wounded in combat.
Drop-in hours will be held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in the first-floor presentation room of the Student and Administrative Services Center – the building adjacent to the large American flag at Penn College’s main entrance off Maynard Street. No appointments are necessary to attend the event, which is coordinated by the college’s Financial Aid Office.
The Wounded Warrior Program offers career opportunities to servicemen and servicewomen with a Department of Veterans Affairs disability rating of 30 percent or greater who were injured in combat operations – or who were issued a campaign badge, combat action ribbon, combat infantry badge, combat action medal or Purple Heart.
Disabled veterans with less than a 30-percent rating (or no rating) are still eligible for appointments under special hiring authorities.
