Air-show performers pump a special oil into their planes' exhaust pipes to create smoke trails in the sky. In addition, Misty Blues, the world’s only all-female parachute team, used the Penn College hangar floor to pack its flag into the jumper's small backpack. The flag was used for the opening ceremonies of the Lycoming County Rotary Clubs Festival, held on the county fairgrounds in Hughesville. "Misty Blues complimented Penn College on the cleanliness of the hangar floor," said Thomas D. Inman, associate professor of aviation, who provided the photos. "They have found hangars in other locations to be 'much less clean.'"
