Adults age 55 and older who want to learn more about using computers for fun and convenience may enroll in a noncredit course to be offered in July on Pennsylvania College of Technology’s main campus in Williamsport.

This easy beginners’ class, which is offered through Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Penn College, introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes.

The class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays, July 10 and July 17, in the Center for Business & Workforce Development.

The instructor will lead participants through games, email, the Internet, Facebook, basic word-processing for letter-writing and other enjoyable and practical applications. Participants will learn in a hands-on environment and be able to experiment with the computer without fear or anxiety. Plenty of time is provided for questions and answers.

The cost for the course is $99. No previous computer knowledge is necessary.
