Disability Services sponsored a Disability Awareness Day event Thursday in Penn's Inn, where the Penn College community had the opportunity to learn more about how people with disabilities manage in their daily activities. The event included displays of adaptive equipment available from the Disability Services Office, interactive activities to mimic some of the barriers faced by people with disabilities, a display by the college's American Sign Language Club and a cake made by Suzann L. Major, assistant professor of baking and pastry arts/culinary arts to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
