Legislative Visit Reaffirms College's Global Economic Impact

A contingent of Pennsylvania House Commerce Committee members, joined by state and regional business leaders, toured Penn College on Thursday to see firsthand how industry-responsive technical education can drive the engine of economic development in the commonwealth and beyond. Led by Rep. Peter J. Daley (D-Fayette/Washington), committee chair, and hosted by Rep. Rick Mirabito (D-Lycoming). the group with William J. Martin, the college's senior vice president, as its guide toured a sampling of hands-on instructional areas, visited the Marcellus Shale Education & Training Center, and lunched on campus.
