Timothy R. Cotter Named 'Student of the Month' for March
Timothy R. Cotter, of St. Marys, who next month will add a bachelor's degree in technology management to his associate degree in mass communications, has been chosen as the March "Student of the Month" by the Student Government Association at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Operations manager at WPTC (88.1 FM), the college radio station, and host of its "Time Capsule Radio" program from 6-8 p.m. Mondays, Cotter is a student video production assistant with College Information & Community Relations, This semester, he is teaching the Radio Station Operation and Production labs and holds a part-time position with a communications company back home.
"Tim has been a tremendous assistant to the faculty adviser of WPTC-FM because of his technical skills, combined with organizational abilities," one of his nominators wrote. "I can count on him!"
"Tim is a very hard worker, does a quality job and is very dependable," a co-nominator wrote; still another said, "He has become an important member of our team and will be greatly missed when he graduates."
The Student of the Month is selected numerous times each academic year based on commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement. Nominations from faculty/staff and other students are strongly encouraged.
