Faculty Member Makes Accreditation Visits to European Campuses

Terry A. GirdonA professor of business administration/management and head of the business administration department at Pennsylvania College of Technology visited the European University in Switzerland during the week of Nov. 2.

Terry A. Girdon served as team leader for accreditation visits to the university's campuses in Geneva and Montreux on behalf of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education. It was his third international accreditation trip; Girdon previously conducted site visits to the American Business School and the Paris Graduate School of Management in Paris and to LaSalle University in Barcelona, Spain.

One of three business-degree accrediting bodies for colleges and universities worldwide, the IACBE has grown to more than 200 members in the United States and throughout the world since its founding in 1997.

All of Penn College's business and accounting degree programs have been fully accredited by the IACBE since 1998.

Girdon, who holds a doctorate from Rutgers University, received master's degrees from St. Lawrence University and Boston University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware.
