Members and guests of the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce visited Penn College's newest addition Thursday night: the Center for Business & Workforce Development. The 32,000-square-foot building at 1127 W. Fourth St., site of the former BiLo grocery store houses several programs that benefit the region's economic-development efforts: the college's Workforce Development & Continuing Education offices, IMC, Penn State Continuing Education at Williamsport, and impressive lab space for students in electronics and computer engineering technologies. The center also will be the focus of the Summer 2007 issue of One College Avenue, Penn College's quarterly magazine, which will arrive in subscribers' mailboxes next month.
