Instructional Technology Grant Award-Winners Announced

The Instructional Technology Grant award committee is pleased to announce the recipients of this year's awards.
According to Jennifer McLean, director of instructional technology and distance learning, this second year of the program brought a range of high-quality proposals for integrating technology in the classroom.
"As with last year, the committee was challenged to select among a number of exciting proposals," she said. "The creativity and innovation demonstrated by the faculty applicants made decision-making difficult."
The recipients of the 2007 Instructional Technology Grant are:
- Bahram Golshan, associate professor of computer science, Character (Sprite) Repository Developed Using 3ds Max Software
- Ron E. Kodish, assistant professor of fitnessand lifetime sports, Polar Tri Fit 700 College-Wide Integrated Health-Fitness Assessments
- Ann E. Morrison, nursing instructor, Critical Thinking Skill Development
- Jeff L. Rankinen, associate professor of electronics, Digitizing Tablets for use with Microsoft OneNote 2007
The award recipients will work with Instructional Technology & Distance Learning and Information Technology Services to purchase, install and implement the hardware and software components of their grant proposals over the next several months. The technology initiatives will be incorporated into classroom instruction for the 2007-08 academic year.
After the initial implementation period, the grant recipients will present Academic Affairs Professional Development seminars summarizing their efforts and project outcomes.
