We can’t wait to welcome you to campus and are thrilled that you’re gearing up for a future made by hand. From the close-knit community you’ll join to the real-world experience you’ll gain, there’s so much to look forward to. Since our programs are in high demand, they often reach capacity and move to a waitlist.
To increase your chances of securing a spot in your desired program, we recommend submitting your application and materials by the priority deadline.

How do I get on the waitlist?
In order to be added to the program’s waitlist, you must have been accepted, met placement requirements, and confirmed intent to enroll.
Learn more about meeting placement requirements here.
Confirming your intent to enroll includes accepting your offer of admission and paying the $150 tuition deposit through the Applicant Dashboard.
If a seat does not become available in your major and you decide not to enroll, we’ll refund your deposit upon request.
What are my options for enrollment?
We know you're excited to dive into the college experience you’ve been dreaming about. If your program moves to a waitlist, there are still options for enrollment.
Option 1: You can choose to stay on the waitlist and start by taking general education courses then jump in with your technical coursework in the next available semester.
Note: This option typically adds at least an additional year to your timeframe for completion and a full-time schedule may not be available.
Option 2: You can choose to defer your application to a future starting semester, which would allow you to begin the program at that time.
Option 3: You can choose to cancel your application and be removed from the waitlist.
Math Requirements for Electrical Majors
Electrical majors (Electrical Technology, Electrical Construction, and Mechatronics) emphasize technical and practical skills, so it’s important that students have the required math foundation before starting the major-specific coursework. If you place into a developmental math that falls below the level needed for electrical courses, you’ll be asked to consider options.
Option 1: Get started with general education courses and complete the necessary developmental math first. Then, jump into your technical coursework after you’ve completed the necessary developmental math.
Option 2: Remediate and retest to try and place into a higher level math. This option requires you to place into math level 3 or higher by June 1 for a fall semester start or November 1 for a spring semester start.
The School of Engineering Technologies can help you navigate your options.

Advanced & Alternative Credit
If you think you may be eligible for advanced or alternative credit for education, work, life, or military experience, reach out to your school office or enrollment counselor as soon as possible.
These credits may bypass entry-level courses and allow us to schedule you directly into your programs.
