What is Veteran Housing?

Veteran Housing is offered to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces or students who are currently on active drill status. Students living in Veteran Housing will live in a four-person/two-bedroom apartment located at The Village at Penn College. Apartments consist of two bedrooms, a living/dining room, a kitchenette (microwave, sink, and full-sized refrigerator), and bathroom. The Village is townhouse style: each apartment has an outside entrance.

Who is Eligible for Veteran Housing?

Any current Penn College student who is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces or on active drill status is eligible to live in Veteran Housing. While Penn College Residence Life will make every effort to place interested students into Veteran Housing, the spaces allotted for veteran housing will be available on a first-come basis.

Why is Veteran Housing needed?

Penn College has been recognized as a Veteran friendly campus and recognizes that veterans can often face challenges adjusting to civilian/college life. This living option gives students who share this similar life experience the opportunity to reside together and support each other while navigating the college environment.

How do I apply for Veteran Housing?

Both new and returning students can indicate that they are interested in living in Veteran Housing when completing the housing application/contract.
