Leah R. Tressler, a group leader in the Robert and Maureen Dunham Children’s Learning Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently received a master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania. Tressler graduated with honors with a Master of Education with a concentration in early childhood education.

The first "Water Day" of the season – and the hoped-for start of many more – was held Wednesday at the Dunham Children's Learning Center at Penn College. Honoring a long-standing tradition, teachers got out the sprinklers, sponges and spray bottles; children changed into bathing suits and water shoes; and everyone celebrated an event that is perhaps as eagerly awaited as summer itself.

For the fourth year in a row, Pennsylvania College of Technology has won the Penn State University Athletic Conference Chancellor’s Cup. Penn College is the only school to ever hold it since its inception in 2009. The cup is awarded to a member institution with the most accumulated points for the year. Points are awarded based on finish of each conference team.

Students and professional staff of Le Jeune Chef Restaurant planted the restaurant’s vegetable garden – and added plants to its herb garden – on Wednesday: a total of 92, from a variety of tomatoes and peppers, to cabbage, eggplant and squash. The vegetables will be used in the restaurant, supporting its efforts to serve dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients.
