"State of Pennsylvania" President Gilmour Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour was the guest for Thursday’s live 7 p.m. broadcast of “State of Pennsylvania,” a regional public-affairs and news program airing on WVIA-TV.  Conducted by Bill Kelly, the station’s president and chief executive officer, the interview has been added to the PBS affiliate's online on-demand channel.

Pennsylvania College of Technology announced the winners for its annual Food Show, a showcase for final projects in advanced culinary arts and baking and pastry arts courses at the college. Taking the Chef Eugene Mattucci Best of Show Award was a two-tier cake decorated by Carrie A. Williams, a baking and pastry arts student from State College.

The 45 members of Pennsylvania College of Technology’s three sanctioned fraternities attained GPAs higher than the college’s overall student population during the Fall 2012 semester. Individual performance was led by Phi Mu Delta (with a 3.012 GPA), according to the semester academic report compiled by the college's Student Activities Office.

Tyler Myers For the second straight week, Penn College junior Tyler Myers (Centre Hall) has been named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week.  Myers went 3-0 on the week with three pins, defeating Penn State Greater Allegheny, Stony Brook University and West Chester University.  So far this season, Myers is leading the team with a 16-1 record that includes 12 pins.  T
