Penn College junior Garrett Hornung (Emporium) was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the period ending April 17. Hornung hit .636 (7-11) with three doubles, five RBI and 10 runs. He helped the Wildcats to a 3-1 week, sweeping Penn State York and splitting with Penn State Mont Alto. This is Hornung's first PSUAC honor this season.
Penn College construction management students finished second overall and brought home first-place honors in the Project Management category among 24 teams in last week's Associated Builders and Contractors Student Chapter Construction Management Competition in San Antonio.
