A sold-out lunch at the Penn College Field House kicked off the second week of the Penn State Coaches Caravan on Tuesday morning. Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering basic, noncredit computer classes beginning this month. Beginner’s Guide to Computers and Microsoft Office (May 21 and 23, from 9 a.m. to noon, or July 22 and 29, from 6 to 9 p.m.) This class is designed for new computer users to create basic files in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Penn College Wildcats Five Penn College baseball student-athletes made the grade as they were named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association All-Academic Team. The team, announced at the championship banquet, is comprised of players that have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher and are academically a sophomore or above.

Flutist Jessica L. Gower recently became Pennsylvania College of Technology’s first participant in the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band Festival. The 66th annual festival was held over three days at Mansfield University, concluding March 17 with a concert conducted by Lt. Col. Alan Bonner, retired commander and conductor of the U.S. Air Force Band.

Katie L. Kratzer Penn College's Katie L. Kratzer, of Selinsgrove, has been named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Softball Newcomer of the Year for her efforts as a rookie in the 2013 season. She was also named First-Team, All-Conference. Both awards are voted on by the coaches of the PSUAC and are based on performance throughout the season.
