The Pennsylvania College of Technology golf team finished its regular-season matches Tuesday with a victory at the Links at Spring Church in Apollo. The team shot a total of 314, which was 21 strokes better than the closest competitor: Penn State New Kensington. The score allowed the golf team to secure first place in the Western Division of the PSU Athletic Conference.
On Tuesday afternoon, approximately 30 students from the Information Technology and Electronics & Computer Engineering Technology programs enjoyed a presentation by Harry Rundall, territory sales manager for Fluke Networks.

The older preschool classes at the Children's Learning Center recently celebrated Grandparents Day by inviting the grandparents to spend the morning with their grandchildren. From Friday through Sunday, Pennsylvania College of Technology student drivers, mechanics and welders descended upon Williamsport's Brandon Park to participate in the 11th annual Susquehanna 500, a charity go-kart race sponsored by the Northcentral Pennsylvania chapter of the American Red Cross.
Prize money won by Pennsylvania College of Technology students at a competition in 2002 will be used to fund a new scholarship at the college. The School of Natural Resources Management Ornamental Horticulture Scholarship will generate a $1,000 award for each of the next six years.
An exhibition of student photography is on display in Bookmarks in the Madigan Library. The photographs are part of student work completed for the Commercial Photography course (PHO230) taught by Gary R. DiPalma, instructor of graphic design, in the Spring 2007 semester. Photographs were taken in four basic subject areas: fashion/portrait, food, product and architecture.
A Pennsylvania College of Technology student who lost her battle with cancer earlier this year will be memorialized through a new scholarship fund to benefit nursing students at Penn College. The Danielle M. Young Memorial Scholarship will generate an annual award of $500 to a student enrolled full time in Penn College's associate- or bachelor-degree nursing majors.
