Pennsylvania College of Technology has presented student achievement awards to its Fall 2022 graduates. A commencement ceremony was held Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Community Arts Center, Williamsport. Penn College is a special mission affiliate of Penn State.

Pennsylvania College of Technology presented Anthony J. Peachey with the Alumni Volunteer of the Year Award at its Fall 2022 Commencement ceremonies, held Dec. 17 at the Community Arts Center. Peachey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration: marketing concentration from Penn College in 2009, graduating summa cum laude.

Six graduating students – the recipients of collegewide commencement awards – were celebrated Friday night during the Excellence in Student Leadership and Service Awards Ceremony, held in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Le Jeune Chef Restaurant. A Pennsylvania College of Technology police officer, whose vigilant pursuit – even after being repeatedly fired upon – resulted in the quick apprehension of an armed suspect earlier this fall, was presented with a nationally sanctioned award during a surprise campus ceremony on Dec. 13. The founder and president of a Troy manufacturing company, who is also an alumnus of Pennsylvania College of Technology predecessor institution Williamsport Area Community College, has established two scholarships to benefit students in engineering design and manufacturing majors. John M.

Nearly 300 students have petitioned to graduate following the Fall 2022 semester at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The college will hold a commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Community Arts Center. The student speaker for the ceremony will be Maci Nicole Ilgen, of Spring Mills, who will be awarded a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Eleven students and a recent alumna comprise the 2022 class of inductees to Pennsylvania College of Technology's chapter of SALUTE, a national veterans honor society. Formed in 2009 at Colorado State University, SALUTE is the first national academic honor society established for student veterans – and active military – at two- and four-year institutions of higher education.

Nearly 30 years ago, Eli M. Hughes was a disinterested high school student touring an electronics lab at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Today, he is a successful entrepreneur, powered by a passion sparked by his campus visit and subsequent education. The 2001 graduate is a self-described “full-stack problem-solver” with several electronics-rooted patents to his name.
