Kenneth E. Carl During a 36-year career in higher education – more than one-third of the century celebrated during the centennial of Penn College and its predecessors – Kenneth E. Carl tirelessly wore many hats: alumnus, faculty member, president and mentor.

The fast-track career ascendancy of enrollees in Penn College's Ford ASSET major, a two-year degree that includes a built-in paid internship with a participating dealer, is on display in the newest addition to the college's YouTube channel. "If you want the quickest ladder to success, this is it," says Colin W. Williamson, the college's dean of transportation technology.

Frosty winds howled at the doors of the Community Arts Center on Dec. 22, but new Pennsylvania College of Technology graduates and their families were safe inside – bathed in the warmth of accomplishment.  The annual December commencement ceremony honored the approximate 300 students who petitioned to graduate following the Fall 2012 semester.
