Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering a course to help high school students prepare for the standardized test used as an admissions tool by many institutions of higher learning.

Christopher P. Ray has been appointed executive director, business development for Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Ray served for the past three years as client development director for WDCE and succeeds Shannon Munro, who recently was named vice president for the department.

A custom-built, roll-fed, thin-sheet thermoformer is the latest addition to the Thermoforming Center of Excellence at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Thermoforming is a process by which plastic film or sheet is heated and then molded into three-dimensional shapes for such everyday uses as packaging, displays and components for a variety of transportation applications.

Three skills- and safety-oriented industrial classes have been announced for the Fall 2017 semester by Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Workforce Development & Continuing Education Office. The classes, scheduled between September and November on the college’s main campus, are: Welding – Building Essential Skills 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, Sept. 9 to Oct. 21, and Nov.
