Head men’s basketball coach Geoff B. Hensley is the latest guest on “WildCast,” a weekly podcast produced by Penn College Athletics.
In 2024-25, Hensley led the Wildcats to the United East semifinals for the first time in program history.
In this conversation, the Navy veteran shares his experiences in basketball, college and the military, and how they shape his coaching philosophy: First is being the hardest-working team in the conference. “To be successful in anything in life, you’ve got to put in the work,” Hensley says.
Second is approaching challenges with positive energy. “A negative attitude is only going to bring you down; it’s only going to make getting that victory even harder,” he explains.
Third is being great teammates. “We’re all here to support each other,” the coach says. “We’re all here to encourage each other and help each other and push each other and challenge each other.”
