A scholarship has been created at Pennsylvania College of Technology memorializing Bethany G. Hughes, an August graduate of the college’s radiography program who was killed in an automobile accident in Fairfield Township on Nov. 22. The Bethany Hughes Memorial Radiography Scholarship has been established by the Hughes family: her father, Charles; mother, Kathleen; and sister, Heidi.
Arika J. Stopper Penn College freshman Arika J. Stopper, of Williamsport, has been named the Penn State University Athletic Conference ‘Pitcher of the Week’ for the period ending April 6. In the team’s 6-0 win against Penn State Hazleton, Stopper – a health arts: practical nursing emphasis student – pitched a three-hit, complete-game shutout while striking out seven.
Zachary A. Weil Penn College junior Zachary A. Weil, of Kutztown, has been named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and Penn State University Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week for the period ending April 6. In the team’s 4-3 week, Weil hit .389 (7-18) and drove in in 12 runs.

Bock, assistant professor of computer information technology, led a session during the 19th annual Course Technology Computing Conference in Nashville, Tenn. Her presentation focused on packet analysis, the process of analyzing traffic over a digital network.
The Plastics Innovation & Resource Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology is administering subsidized training for plastics-related companies and their employees, thanks to $81,834 in funding from the Central Pennsylvania Workforce Development Corp. The grants support training for 70 professionals from nine companies.
