The Gallery at Penn College and the Student Activities Office are co-hosting the band, Electric Volcano Experiment, on Jan. 20. The band will play from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the gallery, on the third floor of Madigan Library, which will be transformed into a music nightclub including "mocktails" for this special event.

Healthy Weight Week will be observed at Penn College from Jan. 17-21, offering many educational and entertaining events that provide information about achieving and maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle.

Penn College senior Greg Solyak (Lititz) received an honorable mention for United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Division II Player of the Week honorsduring the week ending Jan. 9. Solyak averaged 23.5 points and 11 rebounds, notching two double-doubles in a 1-1 week for the Wildcats. He had a season-high 30 points against Division III Misericordia University.

Chosen as the Rising Star of the Month was Patrick Hrubes, a Resident Assistant in Rose Street Commons' Clinton Hall, a welding and fabrication engineering major from Amesbury, Mass.
