Electrical students recognized with year-end honors

The Electrical Department hosted a celebration this past week for its students receiving awards as part of Spring Commencement exercises in mid-May. Parents and faculty/staff also attended the event, which included pizza and ice cream floats.

Among those selected for a West Branch Susquehanna Builders Association Award this semester is Nathan Totsky, of Waymart, an electrical construction student. (Four students in other majors within the School of Engineering Technologies will also receive West Branch honors at graduation.)

Jacob M. Reitz, an electrical technology student from Lewisburg, will receive the Electrical Excellence Award, presented by Schaedler-Yesco Distribution Inc. Adam L. Shaffer, of Jersey Shore, will be presented with the Electrical Faculty Award; and Kiernan D. Kennedy, of Elkland, will receive the Larry A. Ward Excellence in Mechatronics Award. (Kennedy, a mechatronics technology student, was unable to attend Thursday's recognition.
