Services set for award-winning former automotive faculty member

    Albert L. Steinbacher Jr.Services will be Thursday for Albert L. Steinbacher Jr., a former member of Penn College's automotive faculty, who died Monday, Feb. 27, at the age of 79. A retired instructor of automotive transportation technology who had also served on the college's Automotive Advisory Committee, Steinbacher was a 2000 recipient of a Part-Time Teaching Excellence Award. A visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. March 2 at the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Luke's Catholic Church, 118 Kendall Ave., Jersey Shore. A full obituary is available on the funeral home's website.
