The EITC program provides tax credits to eligible companies that do business in the state when they contribute to scholarship organizations, educational improvement organizations and/or pre-kindergarten scholarship organizations.

“We are incredibly grateful for the EITC funding support that we receive, which allows us to continue supporting and developing the arts in our community. Woodlands Bank’s generosity and philanthropy helps to support the creation of unique experiences for children and youth throughout Lycoming and neighboring counties, and allows those children the opportunity for experiences that they might not otherwise have access to,” said Jim Dougherty, executive director of the CAC.

The approved programming includes the Student Summer Stock program, Performance Series-Master Classes, Educational Series shows and "The Nutcracker" performance.

“I’m very appreciative of this support. Our youth-based initiatives are an integral part of the Community Arts Center’s programming and we are deeply committed to supporting performance opportunities that enrich the educational experience for local students,” said Ana Gonzalez-White, college relations officer in charge of development for the CAC.

Funding for the educational programming is derived from various sources, including EITC funds, donations, corporate sponsorships and grants.
