The Community Arts Center has been awarded a $2,500 grant from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield toward its 2020-21 Educational Series.
Highmark BCBS“Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield is proud to support and provide programming that strengthens communities, whether through direct grants, through partnerships with community organizations or through internally developed initiatives,” said Katie Kemmerer, community affairs regional manager, NEPA Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The Educational Series, offered free to area students, annually serves 5,000 to 8,000 students from nine school districts in Lycoming and Sullivan counties. All costs related to the program (including artists' fees, technical labor and busing) are absorbed by the CAC, which earlier received a $2,500 grant from the Waldron Memorial Fund and a $5,000 contribution from the PPL Foundation toward next season’s Educational Series.

“We always look forward to providing this learning experience beyond the classroom,” said Ana Gonzalez-White, the center's development director.
