From Rollicking Frolics to Rock-'n'-Roll Rapture
Award-winning Broadway shows, dinosaurs, hypnotists, high-tech special effects, physical storytelling, and off-the-charts music and dance are here to keep your spirit lifted all season long.

Let September’s first show sweep you away in a mad flurry with Cirque Éloize’s Saloon, Sept. 22. Inspired by the Wild Wild West, the infectious energy of folk music and strains of the fiddle set the tone for an acrobatic romance that will sweep you off your feet.

Stay in high spirits on Sept. 23 with Old Crow Medicine Show, our favorite, Grammy Award-winning Americana string band, whose classic single, "Wagon Wheel," received the RIAA's Platinum certification in 2013 for selling over 1 million copies. Featured with Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Mumford and Sons in the music documentary, "Big Easy Express," Old Crow Medicine Show will make you want to get up and dance in the aisles. This is a concert opportunity you don’t want to miss.

Hot on those hard-to-follow heels comes 38 Special on Oct. 1. Their signature blast of Southern Rock and hits like “Hold On Loosely” and “Rockin’ Into the Night,” will leave you breathless and ready to chill with some cool comedy from Tracy Morgan on Oct. 8. Catch him as he receives his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – or right here in Williamsport!

If you haven’t done enough rolling in the aisles, and you need another dose of immune-system-boosting laughter, don’t miss the action-packed comedy hypnosis show Hypnohype on Oct. 15 (hilariously written by Colin Mochrie from "Whose Line is it Anyway?"), then warm up with the hot vocals of the Doo Wop Project on Friday, Nov. 11. DWP brings authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to remember, recreate and reimagine some of the greatest music in American pop and rock history.

Then it’s time to get in the holiday spirit with the sumptuous "A Christmas Carol" on Dec. 4, featuring a cast of 23 performers, live musicians, and Broadway-style scenery and costumes. The State Ballet Theater of Russia returns Jan. 26 for another year performing the enchanting Cinderella Ballet. This full-scale production is choreographed by Vladimir Vasiliev, former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Theater Ballet and “The Best Male Dancer of the 20th Century.”

Celebrate Valentine’s romance with the music, art and technological magic of iLUMINATE, Feb. 7 – a mashup of dazzling wizardry, spectacular dance moves, high-tech effects and original music. Then fall in love all over again with Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon,” recreated note for note, sound for sound by the Black Jacket Symphony on Feb. 11. Shake off the winter doldrums and get ready for the high-flying, death-defying hit Broadway musical, "Pippin," on Feb. 26th! Full of extraordinary acrobatics, magical feats, and soaring songs from the composer of "Wicked," "Pippin" will put springtime in your heart and leave you smiling.

March 9 brings you brighter skies and the award-winning Push Physical Theatre to inspire awe with physical illusions and gravity-defying, dance-infused, acrobatic high-jinks. It's cool, it's athletic, it's a perfect metaphor-in-motion; the narratives of our lives played out with hope, strength, and optimism.

Experience the thrills of 20th Century Fox’s hit movies, “Drumline” and “Drumline: A New Beat” – up close and personal – on March 14 with Drumline Live. This show has already paraded onto some of the biggest stages in the world and now Williamsport has the chance to laugh, sing, dance and cry during the high-octane musical roller coaster ride that will hit every emotion in your body. If adrenaline isn’t your thing, mellow out on March 31 with Ted Vigil's John Denver Musical Tribute with nostalgic hits like “Annie’s Song,” “Sunshine On My Shoulders” and “Back Home Again.”

And since we know you need as much fun and laughter in your life as possible, we choose April 2 to bring you "42nd Street," the quintessential backstage musical comedy classic. It includes some of the greatest songs ever written, such as “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “I Only Have Eyes For You,” and, of course, “42nd Street.” Just 20 days later, you get another dose of giggles with James Judd on April 22. He has been described as “David Sedaris on a pot of coffee!”

Spring blossoms into one of the most spellbinding and absorbing musical performances you have ever experienced with William Close & the Earth Harp Collective, May 19. The Earth Harp Collective combines the creative forces of artists, musicians, dancers, and aerialists, while the Earth Harp itself turns our beautiful auditorium into a huge instrument, with the body of the Earth Harp resting on stage and the strings soaring and singing over you.

Kids Count, Too!
Of course, we haven’t forgotten the little ones! Thursday, March 23, the whole family can celebrate Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, one of Mister Rogers’ beloved band of characters. Daniel and all of his friends will delight your children with this live theatrical production filled with singing, dancing, laughter and “grr-ific” surprises. Next comes Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live on March 27. It’s the ultimate playdate – 65 million years in the making! Your family will observe, meet and interact with an eye-popping collection of amazingly life-like dinosaurs and other creatures presented in a theatrical performance that will thrill and entertain kids while stimulating their imaginations in ways that will forever connect them to their world.

Don’t forget! Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at the CAC box office, 220 W. Fourth St., in downtown Williamsport. Start marking your calendar and get ready for a spectacular season. More information and video clips of the upcoming shows can be found at the CAC website.
