Karate Club Members Earn Belts at Weekend Event

    Martial artists impressively practice their discipline in this November photo.The PCT Shotokan Karate Club wound down its season with a clinic and belt promotion this past weekend. Students from Nittany Shotokan, Bath (New York) Shotokan, Lycoming College and Bucknell University joined Penn College students Eric M. Russell, Carlos A. Ramos-Sonera, Alton "A.J." Hinson, John B. Preine, Michael J. Fonti and Kody R. Dibble. Fonti and Dibble, taking their first test, earned yellow belts. Preine moved to green-belt rank; Hinson is now a purple belt; and Ramos and Russell each earned brown-belt status. Club members will continue their training right up to the end of the semester.
