As another academic year comes to a close, Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Residence Life Office announces its top students and programs for 2013-14.
Kacie L. Weaver, an applied human services major from Harrisburg, was chosen as the Resident Assistant of the Year.
The Rising Star of the Year award was presented to LaQuinn N. Thompson, an applied human services major from York.
Honored as the First Responder of the Year was Kyeesha C. Howard, a legal assistant/paralegal major from Philadelphia.
The year's top Always Hallways award went to Gaven D. Crosby, of Benton, an information technology: network specialist concentration major.
Selected as 2013-14's best Educational Program was "Street Team," organized by Valeria Passalacqua, an occupational therapy assistant from McAlisterville; Zachary J. Buterbaugh, an accounting student from Conestoga; and Bryan T. Robinson, of Gilbertsville, who majors in plastics and polymer engineering technology.
Singled out as the year's most notable Social Program was "Foodapalooza," served up by Dana M. Ritter, of Walden N.Y., enrolled in the residential construction technology and management: building construction technology concentration, and Erin T. Wise, a dental hygiene: health policy and administration concentration major from Lancaster.
The Tracy Garis Leadership Award was presented to Samuel D. Rhodes, of Hollidaysburg, majoring in heating, ventilation and air conditioning design technology.
