Karstetter Returns as Archery Head Coach

Chad L. KarstetterChad L. Karstetter will step back into the head coaching position for the Penn College archery program for the 2014 season. Karstetter coached the Wildcats from 2001-11, leading them to prominence with numerous accolades including national championships in men’s compound (2008 and 2010), women’s compound (2009) and men’s recurve (2009, 2010).  In addition, he coached 33 All-Americans and was named the U.S. Collegiate Archery National Coach of the Year in 2011. As a member of the Penn College men’s compound team, the Salona native earned All-American honors for three years.  In 1997 and 1999, he was a member of the world team and won a team gold medal in the men’s compound.  He graduated in 1999 with an associate degree in forest technology and was inducted into the Penn College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012. A horticulturist/motorpool lead person for General Services, he was among the college's Distinguished Staff Award winners in 2011.
