Faculty Member Presents at Global Economics Conference

Chip D. Baumgardner, associate professor of business administration/management at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently presented a paper to the International Atlantic Economic Conference.

Baumgardner’s paper was titled “Elements of Effective Cooperative Learning for the Economics and Business Classes.” The conference was held Oct. 11-13 in Philadelphia by the International Atlantic Economic Society.

In addition to presenting a paper, Baumgardner was a judge for the conference’s Best Undergraduate Paper competition.



Chip BaumgardnerFounded in 1973, the International Atlantic Economic Society identified a need for increased communication among economists across continents. Through its two refereed publications and two conferences each year, the society promotes the dissemination of economic and financial research within the international community.

Baumgardner holds a doctorate from George Mason University, master’s degrees from Penn State and Shippensburg universities, and a bachelor’s degree from Penn State.
