Penn College is among the top academically performing Greek Life systems in the country, according to the North-American Intrafraternity Conference.

The college tops the list of 19 reporting institutions at which the All-Fraternity Average GPA exceeds the campus' All-Male Average. Data from the Spring 2013 semester shows an all-Greek GPA of 2.997 at Penn College, nearly a half-point higher than the 2.548 average for the overall male campus population - and slightly better than the 2.912 average for fraternity members nationwide.

“What a great way to begin the academic year at Penn College," said Allison A. Bressler, assistant director for student activities for programing and Greek life. "I am thrilled our fraternity men are leading – not only by being involved on campus, but also by continuing to strive for academic excellence.”

The NIC report is drawn from data submitted by 227 colleges and universities across the country.
