Five cadets from Bison Battalion, several of whom are graduating in 2013, recently were treated to lunch with Penn College President Davie Jane Gilmour and Carolyn R. Strickland, assistant vice president for academic services. Joining the administrators at Le Jeune Chef Restaurant were Brian Arnold, of Chadds Ford, a building science and sustainable design: architectural technology concentration major; Kyle A. Csorba, of Hamilton, N.J., a building construction technology student; Daniel G. Curtin, a manufacturing engineering technology student from Berwick; James D. Fortenberry, of Lemoyne, majoring in construction management; and Benjamin J. Sauter, of Montoursville, a technology management major. Kelly M. Lucas-Clark, a nursing major from Williamsport, was unable to attend. Sauter and Lucas-Clark were commissioned earlier this month; Arnold and Fortenberry will be commissioned in August. Lucas-Clark, Arnold and Fortenberry will march in this month's commencement ceremonies, but Sauter – who is returning to active duty – will not. The Bison Battalion Army ROTC program, headquartered at Bucknell University, comprises Penn College and four other Susquehanna Valley institutions.
