Residence Life Office Confers Year-End Honors

Brent K. Hey As another semester gives way to eventual summer, Pennsylvania College of Technology's Residence Life Office announces its year-end honorees in on-campus housing.

Brent K. Hey, of Chambersburg, majoring in residential construction technology and management: building construction technology concentration, was named the Resident Assistant of the Year.



Kelvin S. Goode, a technology management major from Silver Spring, Md., was chosen as Rising Star of the Year.

Selected as the Educational Program of the Year was an "Abs and Cardio Workout" organized by Morris Sayon, an automotive technology management student from Upper Darby and an RA in Clinton Hall. The program, ongoing after its initiation early in the year, already received monthly honors for January/February.

Laura A. Myers Morris Sayon Sayon also was honored with the 2011-12 Director's Award by the Residence Life Office.

The Social Program of the Year (also honored in March among that month's notable offerings) was a pool party at the East Lycoming YMCA organized by Laura A. Myers, a dental hygiene major from Souderton.

The Tracy Garis Leadership Award, in memory of a spirited RA killed in a June 2010 vehicle accident, was presented to Taylor R. LaPointe, an information technology: information assurance and security concentration student from Pelham, N.H.
