Penn College students, helping with area flood cleanup, are receiving media attention for their selfless volunteer service. Members of the Construction Management Association were among those featured in Friday's Williamsport Sun-Gazette. "Many students in college are wrapped up in the college life and take the education for granted. It is not until you step back and see the big picture that you actually start realizing there are thousands of people out there that could use a hand," said student Ben Stover. "Those few hours that we spent made a huge difference in those families' lives and it feels good to know that we could be a part of that." Another group of students was included in WBRE Eyewitness News coverage of Tropical Storm Lee and its aftermath. "The power of Mother Nature is no match to the power of human kindness," the NBC affiliate's Stef Davis reported Friday. "A group of Penn College students volunteered their day sifting through mud, dirt and water, helping complete strangers get their lives back on track. Atlee Eshleman of the Penn College Campus Crusade for Christ, says, 'What else are we going to do today? Wake up late and watch movies? We may as well do something.' And that little something meant the world to these people who lost most of theirs."
