Outdoor Adventure Club helps maintain Loyalsock TrailThe Outdoor Adventure Club spent part of Saturday helping to maintain the Loyalsock Trail. Kyle Godfrey, club treasurer, arranged with local volunteers to acquire the tools needed and pinpoint areas where the 54-mile trail needed attention. OAC members hiked 2.5 miles of the trail with loppers and saws in hand, cutting back growth that had started to overtake the trail. Rain the night before caused the creek to rise quite a bit, making fording the creek tricky at times. The work culminated at Mary's View, where small trees had all but blocked the view entirely. The OAC meets at 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays in ATHS, Room E251. New adventurous members are always welcome. Those who helped with Saturday's event are pictured. Front row: Brian Sell and Steve Vindler.
