Students, Employees Contribute to Anti-Smoking Effort at State Capitol

    Faculty/staff and students' donations of shoes helps make statement Penn College students, faculty and staff donatedmore than110 pairs of shoes to benefit Valley Prevention Services' recent demonstration on the State Capitol steps in Harrisburg to raise awareness about tobacco-related illnesses. Over 20,000 pairs of shoes were collected from around the state; each represents one of 20,000 Pennsylvanians who die from tobacco-related illness each year. The shoes now will be donated to people in need.
