Sunday, Oct. 9, from 7-10 a.m. All AS/400 screens and services will be unavailable.
Friday, Oct. 14, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Access to network resources (e.g., network drives, e-mail, Web server) will be affected.
Housekeeping Reminders for Employees Safeguarding Important Files
To ensure that our Help Desk staff are available to help as many employees as possible per day, we follow a "limited troubleshooting" rule. In most cases, if we are unable to resolve a computer problem within a reasonable amount of time, we will re-image the computer − erase the contents of the hard drive and reinstall all software. Please help us keep GroupWise running efficiently by deleting any unneeded messages. Don't forget your Sent Items and Trash folders, which may be consuming a substantial amount of network file space if they contain messages with file attachments. Remember that employee e-mail accounts do have a 400MB space limit. To see details about the size of your mailbox, click the words "Mailbox Size" along the bottom of your GroupWise window.
ITS reminds all employees of software agreements that extend to at-home use. Symantec AntiVirus is available as a free download (you will be required to log in with your network user ID and password.
Through a special agreement with Microsoft, employees who work from home on college-related documents can obtain a copy of Microsoft Office 2003 in SASC, Room 2072.
