Penn College Economics Faculty Member Presents Paper

Dr. Abdul B. Pathan, a professor of economics at Pennsylvania College of Technology, presented a paper recently at the Pennsylvania Economic Association's annual conference in Pittsburgh.

The title of Dr. Pathan's paper/presentation, which addressed outcomes assessment, was "Is an Exam Grade a Reflection of Student Learning in Economics?" The conference was held June 10-12 at Robert Morris University.

The PEA is a professional association of economists and social scientists in Pennsylvania and neighboring states. At the association's annual conference, approximately 70 papers are presented and discussed.

The conferences have attracted economists from Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Ohio and West Virginia, as well as other countries, including Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico and Taiwan. During the proceedings, noted economists from business, government, academia and the Federal Reserve System address luncheon and dinner sessions.
