North Campus to Offer Free Seminar on Distance Learning

    "Getting a Degree Using the Internet," a free seminar on distance-learning options available to local residents, will be offered from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro.

    The presenter for the program will be Jennifer McLean, director of instructional technology and distance learning at Penn College.

    Topics to be addressed include: getting started, finding the right program, personal and technical requirements, time commitment, support services, and accreditation issues. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

    The North Campus is located on Route 6 between Wellsboro and Mansfield.
