Internet for Parents: Guiding Your Children's Online Experience
Do you know where your children are on the Internet?
This is a question that many parents ask but are unsure how to protect their children from the dangers of "cyberspace." The Internet can be a excellent learning experience but, at the same time, children can encounter pornography, sexual predators, drug and bomb-making recipes, and hate groups.
Pennsylvania College of Technology's North Campus near Wellsboro will be hosting "The Internet for Parents: Guiding Your Children's Online Experience," Tuesday, March 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. The seminar will help parents develop strategies to protect their families from the dangers of the Internet. As well, it will explore the positive potential of the Internet and distance technologies.
A nominal fee of $3 per person will be charged; refreshments are included. For more information or to register, contact Penn College's North Campus at (570) 724-7703.
