Impact Report 2021-22

In 2021-22, the Penn College Foundation awarded scholarships to 602 students, totaling $1,049,008. Thirty new scholarships were established through Penn College and the foundation. Fifteen of them are endowed funds.

AAA North Penn Annual Scholarship benefits students in the automotive service technician, automotive technology or automotive technology management majors.

Dr. Davie Jane Gilmour Alumni Taskforce Scholarship benefits students who are engaged in clubs and organizations through Student Engagement.

Andrew Mazza Diesel Jam Scholarship benefits an incoming student in the diesel technology major.

Aspen Dental Scholarship benefits students in the dental hygiene program. 

Blaise Alexander Family Scholarship for Automotive and Business benefits students enrolled in any business or automotive major.

Charlie Darrow Memorial Scholarship benefits students enrolled in automotive technology. 

Ciocca Dealerships Scholarship benefits Ciocca employees, interns and immediate family members of Ciocca Dealerships enrolled in automotive majors. 

Construction Specialties: Building the Future Scholarship benefits students enrolled in one of the following: machine tool technology, mechatronics technology, plastics & polymer technology, welding technology, metal fabrication technology, engineering CAD technology, architecture, automated manufacturing technology, architecture & sustainable design, Bachelor of Architecture, construction management, engineering design technology, manufacturing engineering technology.

Donald Waltman Memorial Scholarship benefits students enrolled in a hospitality program.

Dorothy Gerring and William Geyer Architecture Scholarship benefits female students enrolled in an architecture major.

E-Tech Industrial Corp. Engineering Scholarship benefits students in engineering design technology or engineering CAD technology.

E-Tech Industrial Corp. Machining Scholarship benefits students in automated manufacturing technology, machine tool technology or manufacturing engineering technology.

Fort Muncy Garden Center Scholarship benefits students in landscape/plant production or forestry programs.

Gemini Bakery Equipment Corp. Scholarship benefits students in manufacturing engineering technology; automated manufacturing technology; machine tool technology; mechatronics technology; electronics & computer engineering technology: robotics & automation emphasis; automation engineering technology: mechatronics; and automation engineering technology: robotics & automation and engineering design technology.

The Patsy and Glenn L. Beall Chicago SPE Scholarship benefits female students enrolled in the plastics program.

Howard Schriner Residential Construction Memorial Scholarship benefits students from Montoursville Area or Williamsport Area high schools in a residential construction program.

James E. and Darla B. Logue Scholarship benefits students who are first-year, first generation college students.

James L. Throne SPE Rotational Molding Division Scholarship benefits female students in the plastics and polymer engineering technology major.

Judith Shimp Memorial Scholarship benefits students studying culinary arts and hospitality.

Kuzio Family Internship Fund benefits students in an internship experience, with preference to women and minority students.

Lois Family Scholarship benefits students from the Hudson Valley of New York.

Patricia Pringle Solley, Kathleen Solley Vogel & Elinor Spotts Vogel Nursing Scholarship benefits students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science nursing major.

Pepper-Livingston Memorial Automotive Scholarship benefits students enrolled in automotive technology or collision repair.

Roan Memorial Scholarship was established to support Penn College students in remembrance of members of the Roan family.

Ruth Colene Chilcote Cian Memorial Scholarship benefits students enrolled in the hospitality program.

Thomas C. and Rhonda R. Miller Scholarship benefits students enrolled in automated manufacturing & machining or welding & metal fabrication.

To Dwell in Possibility Scholarship benefits students who have aged out of foster care and are Chafee Education and Training Grant recipients.

Watsontown Brick Co. Scholarship benefits students who are employees or interns of Watsontown Brick Co. and are enrolled in the mechatronics technology; automation engineering technology: mechatronics; or automation engineering technology: robotics & automation majors.

William G. Knecht Welding & Metal Fabrication Scholarship benefits students enrolled in any of the welding & metal fabrication majors.

William S. Jones Memorial – Naval Welding Institute Scholarship benefits students enrolled in the non-destructive testing associate degree.
