The Bus Mechanic Apprenticeship Program for PA (BmapPA) is a in-development apprenticeship initiative designed to address the critical shortage of skilled bus mechanic technicians across Pennsylvania's public transportation sector. This program combines on-the-job training with technical instruction to create career pathways in the transportation industry. The goal is for the program to be a state-wide registered program. 

Who Can Participate

Participants must be employed at a participating public transit agency who is a member of PennTRAIN.

Training Details

  • Combination of on-the-job training and related technical instruction
