Due to extended delays in both the availability and the processing of 2024-25 FAFSAs as well as Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency's (PHEAA) implementation of its new GrantUs platform, PHEAA has delayed the release of 2024-25 PA State Grant eligibility information. PHEAA aims to begin releasing 2024-25 PA State Grant eligibility information sometime after our Fall '24 semester begins.
Although the Penn College Financial Aid team cannot apply ‘approved’ PA State Grant awards to students’ Fall semester eBills before PHEAA begins to release PA State Grant eligibility information, we do understand the importance that PA State Grant funds contribute to covering Penn College costs for many Pennsylvania resident students.
As a result, we offer the ‘Request for an Estimated Fall ’24 Semester PA State Grant’ for Pennsylvania resident students who are reasonably confident that they will be eligible for a 2024-25 PA State Grant. Before you proceed to the request form, please consider these questions:
- Was your 2024-25 FAFSA previously completed in full by you and any other contributors (parents or spouse), and then successfully submitted online?
- Is Pennsylvania College of Technology the first or only school (college) listed on your completed and submitted 2024-25 FAFSA?
- Have you, and your parent(s) if parental data was required on your 2024-25 FAFSA, been a resident of Pennsylvania for at least one full year before you submitted your 2024-25 FAFSA?
- Does your Fall ’24 semester schedule include at least 6 course credits?
- If you were awarded a prior PA State Grant at any college, business school or university during the last ten academic years, did you achieve PA State Grant Academic Progress?
- If your primary major is a certificate program, is it the Aviation Maintenance Technician program? This is the only certificate program that meets PHEAA’s minimum length requirements to be eligible for PA State Grants.
If you answer ‘no’ to any of the questions above, you are not eligible for an estimated PA State Grant for Fall ‘24. Please do not submit a request. Contact the Financial Aid team if you are unsure of the answer to the academic progress question.
After reviewing the questions above, if you believe you will be eligible for a PA State Grant for Fall ’24 semester, please complete and submit the request below.
