Regular part-time and full-time employees will receive an appointment letter via email. This letter outlines details of your position, including prerequisites to your employment, and must be reviewed and acknowledged within 10 days of receipt.
You will receive an email with instructions to complete your new hire paperwork online which includes forms such as form I-9, direct deposit information, and tax documents. Paperwork will need to be completed the Wednesday prior to your first day of work.
Federal law requires all employees to verify their identity and authorization to work in the U.S. This step must be completed the Wednesday prior to your first day of work.
Please bring your acceptable I-9 documents to People & Culture, Davie Jane Gilmour Center, Room 2011.

Depending on your position, you may be required to complete one or more of the following:
- Criminal Background Check
- Motor Vehicle Report
- Credit Check

- PA State Police Clearance :
- You will receive an email from Justifacts
- Follow instructions to complete application online
- Justifacts processes this information
A report is returned directly to People & Culture
- PA Child Abuse Clearance (Act 33) :
- You will receive an email from Justifacts
- Follow instructions to apply through the PA Child Welfare portal
- Payment code will be provided by Justifacts via email
Results are emailed & mailed. This certificate will need uploaded to Justifacts
TIP: Make sure to save your login information and security questions to easily access your clearance once it is complete.
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 153) :
- You will receive an email from Justifacts
- Follow instructions to register through Identogo website & schedule appointment for fingerprinting
- The payment code will be provided by Justifacts via email
- Visit Identogo location for your scheduled appointment with valid identification
- Results are emailed & mailed. This certificate will need uploaded to Justifacts
- PA State Police Clearance :
If you are a remote employee or will not be on campus before your start date, instructions for completing the I-9 will be provided in your iCIMS new hire paperwork. This process must still be completed the Wednesday prior to your first day.

On Your First Day
We hope your first day goes smoothly!
You will receive information, via email, regarding New Hire Orientation once all pre-employment requirements have been completed. During New Hire Orientation, you will meet with various members of our team and learn about Penn College, including employee benefits, campus services and much more!
During New Hire Orientation, you will visit Information Technology Services, where you will have your photo taken and obtain your ID badge.
Employees who wish to park their motorized vehicle within College parking facilities are required to display a College parking permit. Details on obtaining a parking permit will be covered during New Hire Orientation.
Annual Cost of Parking Permit for Full-time Employees (to be paid through payroll deduction) :
Standard Parking : $125
Reserved Parking : $245
Regular Part-time Employees will receive a parking permit at no cost.

When you bring your identification and work authorization documents to People & Culture, you will receive an authorization form to obtain your Staff/Faculty Photo ID Card. Please allow 48 hours after receiving your form before visiting the Information Technology Services Staff, located in the Lifelong Education Center (LEC) Room B1032 to get your Penn College ID card.
Employees who wish to park their motorized vehicle within College parking facilities are required to display a College parking permit.
As a part-time employee, you will be required to register your vehicle and obtain a parking permit at no cost.
On Your First Day
On your first day, please visit the PCT employee portal and find the Parking icon. Here you will register your vehicle and your parking permit will be mailed to your office location.
After obtaining your permit, park in any space designated as faculty/staff - with the exception of Reserved spaces. See the Main Campus parking map for areas designated for parking on the Penn College campus.
