Eleven central Pennsylvania early childhood educators completed a nine-credit credentialing program at Pennsylvania College of Technology during 2011-12. STEP Inc., Central Regional Key, paid tuition and textbook costs for directors employed at early childhood education centers that participate in Pennsylvania’s Keystone Stars continuous quality assurance program.

Pennsylvania College of Technology has announced its 2012 inductees for its Athletics Hall of Fame. The class is the first for the new Hall of Fame, started by Athletic Director Scott E. Kennell, and features individuals and student-athletes from Penn College and Williamsport Area Community College history. “Setting up a Hall of Fame has been a priority since I started,” Kennell said.

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has reaffirmed accreditation for Pennsylvania College of Technology and commended the college for the quality of its 2012 Self-Study process. Penn College, a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University, received notice that its accreditation was reaffirmed at a Commission session held June 28.

Hank White, director of the Plastics Innovation & Resource Center at Pennsylvania College of Technology, recently accepted a 2012 Society of Plastics Engineers Gold Pinnacle Award on behalf of SPE’s Rotational Molding Division. SPE divisions are technical groups organized around a specific process or application in the plastics industry.
