The company maintains more than 48,000 miles of distribution and transmission power lines and is an industry leader in using automated power restoration technology to strengthen reliability.
Penn College has been a recipient of PPL Foundation funds since it was established in 2016. Beyond the financial support aspect of our relationship, there are several Penn College alumni who currently work for PPL Electric Utilities. Upon the last check, there were about 40 employees who attended Penn College.
Students at Penn College have been trained to be strong hands-on professionals. We also see them as individuals who are driven to solve problems and provide new perspectives when dealing with issues that arise.

Our innovation lab regularly hosts sessions with employees from various backgrounds to come up with solutions to modern-day issues facing the company.
