About The Gallery
The Gallery at Penn College serves as a cultural asset to Pennsylvania College of Technology and local communities. The Gallery provides the opportunity for the appreciation and exploration of contemporary art, and encourages critical thinking and meaningful experiences.
Exhibits typically include a meet the artist reception and gallery talk. Entries are juried and selected by a committee of dedicated faculty, staff and artists from the community. The Gallery also oversees the College's permanent art collection.
Tours
Exhibition tours and visits for groups can be arranged by emailing gallery@pct.edu, or calling 570-320-2445.
If you would like to visit the gallery outside the normal operating hours, email or call the gallery with date, time, and purpose of the visit and you will be contacted by gallery staff. Two days notice is suggested.
Art on Campus
Inquiries about Donating Artwork to the Art on Campus Collection
The Gallery at Penn College cares for works in the Art on Campus collection. Artists, collectors, or dealers may submit artwork to be considered for acquisition using the following guidelines. Please do not bring unsolicited work to campus.
Submit materials by email or mail
Include letter of intent, and if possible, biography of artist, and provenance
JPEG images of the artwork

Placement, Relocation, Removal or Deaccession of Art on Campus
The College reserves the right to relocate, remove, or deaccession works in the Art on Campus collection. Installation or removal may only be performed by General Services or Gallery staff.
Art on Campus shall not be moved, unframed, cleaned, restored, or otherwise handled without permission from The Gallery at Penn College. Art shall not be left in a room during renovations or painting. When not on display, art is to be stored in The Gallery at Penn College workrooms. Inventory records are managed by The Gallery at Penn College and Financial Operations.
The Stuhldreher-Totten Collection
Pittsburgh couple Michael Stuhldreher (1931-2018) and Carol Totten donated 225 objects and works of art to Penn College from 2006 - 2000. The donors began acquiring work in the 1950s and their diverse collection covered a wide span of time and included pieces from almost every region of the world. The College received objects and art from Africa, Latin America, Asia, and North America (including Native American pieces). One of the highlights of the collection is a clay vessel by famed potter Toshiko Takaezu (1922-2011).
Other Destinations
While on the campus of Pennsylvania College of Technology, visit Le Jeune Chef, a fine-dining restaurant offering a gourmet menu that changes daily and the area's most extensive wine list.
Downtown Williamsport is home to one of the East Coast's finest performance venues: The Community Arts Center. This restored 1928 theatre has seen over 700 shows since reopening in 1993.
