The integration of robotic automation equipment into advanced manufacturing processes has resulted in high demand for qualified technicians for maintenance and support. Often, front-line maintenance and mechatronics technicians are called upon to solve problems while maintaining these high-tech machines.

Program Overview

This targeted apprenticeship program is designed to augment the skills of these workers with essential robotics and automation knowledge and related technical competencies. Participants will build a thorough working knowledge of PLC applications and develop the troubleshooting skillsets required to maintain industrial robotic manufacturing systems.
Coursework includes:
- PLCs for Automation & Robotics
- Fundamentals of Industrial Robotics and Programming

Upon completion of the program, participants receive their journey worker papers from the US Department of Labor or the PA Department of Labor & Industry.
Prepares participants for the SME Robotics in Manufacturing Fundamentals (RMF) Certification.
