Program Educational Objectives describe the career and professional accomplishments that graduates, after several years of experience, are prepared to achieve.
The educational objectives of the Welding Technology program are:
- Technical Proficiency – Graduates will have established successful careers applying their knowledge of welding technology. They will be recognized for applying their analytical skills as a member of a team working to solve complex technical problems.
- Interpersonal Skills – Graduates will have demonstrated the ability to work effectively in collaborative, multidisciplinary team environments. They will be known for their professional communication skills, enabling them to interact productively with colleagues and management.
- Professionalism – Graduates will exhibit a sustained commitment to professional development, pursuing advanced roles and/or professional society certification(s). They will be recognized for their strong work ethic and for conducting themselves with integrity.
- Societal Impact – Graduates will be able to recognize and account for the broader societal and global effects of their work, contributing positively to the community through civic engagement activities.
